Palm Desert Obelisk
Palm Desert Obelisk
The City of Palm Desert paired with Laguna Beach artist Marlo Bartels, came up with a marker for the entrance, provide some color, and be a grand celebrational object.
An obelisk is an upright, four-side, usually monolithic pillar that gradually tapers as it rises and terminates in a pyramid. This obelisk has a surface imagery that includes contemporary designs interpreted from Cahuilla Indian baskets, color from local flora and fauna, snake spirals and whirlwind designs and other secrets the viewer can find.
