C is for Cat

In this life-size bronze, a young girl reading a book about the alphabet appears to be explaining to her feline companion that “C is for Cat”. The sculpture sits on a wall in the library courtyard under the tree.

Arriving at bronze sculpture as her favorite medium after focusing for a time on illustration and graphic design, Ann says, “In bronze I can create not only the solid forms that I enjoy but also the negative spaces that help add lightness and life to a piece. The strength of bronze allows a freedom of design that suites my style.”
