Actor - Musician - Visual Artist
About the artist: Paul Jacques has been involved in over 80 productions ranging from stage to film to radio to commercials in such capacities as writer, actor, producer, and director. As a director, Paul has been honored by the Inland Theatre League award for his work on A Midsummer Night’s Dream and was blessed to direct Broadway’s original Joseph, Bill Hutton, in a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Some of his other directing credits include Fiddler on the Roof, I Hate Hamlet (ITL Award, Scenic Design) , The Tempest, and Godspell. Paul also received and award of excellence for producing shows for the acting troupe Marlowe’s Shadowe, for which he serves as Artistic Director that tours the Renaissance Faires and Dickens Festivals along the West Coast year round. As an actor, Paul has performed such roles as Petruchio (The Taming of the Shrew), Mortimer Brewster (Arsenic and Old Lace), Pseudolus (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), George (Schoolhouse Rock, Live! ( ITL Award), Mordred (Camelot), Matt (The Fantasticks), Cornelius (Hello, Dolly!), and Fred, Young Ebenezer, and the full-of-life Ghost of Christmas Present (A Christmas Carol, the Musical). He is also on staff at both Notre Dame and Arlington High Schools in Riverside, as well as being an Artist in Residence with the Riverside Arts Council. Paul is also Charles Dickens for the Riverside Dickens Festival. He lives in Riverside with his beautiful wife, Sarah, and their daughters Katharina and Olivia.
