Ramon Alviso Mendoza
Filmmaker - Musician - Poet - Visual Artist
About the artist: I began to study art as a child with my father. My formal studies began in 1947 at the La Jolla School of Fine Art under the direction of Orin Lauden. My experience at the school offered me additional study with Dan Dickie and later Diego Rivera who was a resident artist at the La Jolla School of Fine Art. After my graduation from Steven Watts Kearny High in 1956, I continued in my study of art at San Diego City College.
In 1971 I opened my own business, Art Concepts. As an artist, I do Fine Art, Design and Landscaping/Green & Hardscape. I also participated as a resident at Sandstone Retreat in the Malibu Mountains, working with Color Test Studies and Art in Psychodrama.
My work in film and television started with Rhedaldo Productions working as the Art Director for the TV Production “Second Chance.” I also served as Technical Director and Host for the Television Show, “New Plateaus,” for White Hawk Production.
