    Main Street Community Band

Celebrating 30 Seasons of Community Band Excellence! Fall 2009 Season Begins August 5th! The Mainstreet Community Band is an "Old Fashioned Community Concert Band" rehearsing and performing the "best" in Wind Band Literature. Membership is open to adults ages 18 and older. No stuffy attitude! No audition required! The only thing you need to bring is your instrument and the desire to create great music with like-minded individuals! We take pleasure in performing classic concert band literature while promoting live music and life-long musical performance within the greater Inland Empire community. Our members enjoy playing their instruments again as they raise their families, pursue and continue their careers or retire. Rehearsals are friendly and relaxed, yet very focused on "making music". Our instrumentation is comprised of the traditional Concert Band complement of woodwinds, brass, and percussion. The band's performance repertoire includes: Marches, Classic Transcriptions, Novelty Tunes, Solo/Band Features, Broadway Musicals, Theme Concerts, Holiday and Seasonal, Light Classics, Jazz, Pop, Latin, and Patriotic Favorites. Over the past 30 years we have performed over 400 concerts for Civic Events, Arts Festivals, T.V. and Radio shows, Parks, Malls, Conventions, Concert Series, School Concerts, Educational Workshops/Clinics, and Theme Parks. We have applied for a non-profit 501 (c) 3 status and annually award competitive scholarships to musicians desiring to continue their love of performing in a band on into their college years. The Main Street Community Band is affiliated with Redlands Adult School and there is an registration fee which can be paid at your first rehearsal or on-line through the Redlands Adult School on-line registration.
