Inland Empire Shakespeare Festival

The Inland Empire Shakespeare Festival is a cooperative effort between San Bernardino Valley College and the Riverside Arts Council to promote the works of the Bard and other writers of note. It is staffed by the most award winning collection of classical theatre professionals in the Inland Empire. Inland Empire Shakespeare is also the future partner of Valley College’s Summer Arts Academy. The Academy is a unique program that will allow students at the High School and College level interested in Theatre, Technical Theatre, Music and Dance to obtain certificates in their chosen field in one summer. The Festival performs at both the 600 seat Valley Auditorium and the 3000 seat Greek Amphitheatre. The Auditorium was designed by G. Stanley Wilson and opened in 1938 with “As You Like It”. The 60 seat Black Box will be home to the New Plays Series, expected to be join the Festival offerings for the 2009 season.
