Redlands Community Music Association INC. (RCMA) is the presenter of The Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival. The festival offers a wide variety of professional programs including symphonies, ballet, opera, light opera, folk/culturally diverse music and dance, jazz and much more. Committed to promoting the cultural needs of the City of Redlands as well as the surrounding communities, the RCMA offers between 18 - 21 concerts each summer season, serving over 100,000 people. The performances begin at 8:15 p.m. each Tuesday and Friday evening from the end of June through the end of August. Our outdoor amphitheater seats approximately 6000 first come, first served (bench seating for 4000, surrounding grassy area holds an additional 2000). Because no admission is charged, the Bowl depends on donations from corporations, businesses, individuals, service clubs and community groups, as well as the freewill offering that is collected during the program intermission. Recently, the Festival was selected to receive additional grant funding from the California Arts Council. The RCMA Board of Directors and large numbers of community volunteers generously donate their personal time and professional expertise. From high tech computer support to floral set decor, to ushering on performance nights, these volunteers are the lifeline that helps ensure the ongoing success of the festival season. Thank you for your generosity!
