    LQ's Performing Arts Center

LQ’s Performing Arts Center is an educational program listed as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization group originally located in Bakersfield, CA, but now throughout California. LQ’s builds, fosters, and promotes the skills of the young people of their communities. Since March of 2001, LQ’s Performing Arts Center, under the direction of LaQuette Milner, continues to offer a place where people can learn to dance, sing, and/or act, meet new people, have fun and feel comfortable. LQ’s Performing Arts Center welcomes a diversity of people and maintains a non-smoking, drug-free, non-discriminatory, and alcohol-free environment. Their classes are designed to enhance the talent ability of those who enroll. LQ’s Performing Arts Center also collaborates with outside talent, in the form of actors, dancers, choreographers, and musical artists, to bring forth their uplifting productions. Through LQ’s Productions, communities are able to enhance their understanding and appreciation for the Performing Arts. Whether it’s a 10-minute dance presentation or a 2-hour play, LQ’s has the ability to captivate their audience with a sight for all to remember. Within the last 10 years of operation, LQ’s Performing Arts Center has accomplished several things. Everything from being able to serve 2,000 students to being honored with a Humanitarian Award for their Community Involvement, are examples of their great service. More accomplishments are: LQ’s placing 1st Place in the Las Vegas Hip-Hop X-plosion Dance Competition for 2 years (’05 & ’06), performances at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission, Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Abuse, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, Showtime at the Apollo, various churches, schools, community events, fairs, and their own Performance Shows titled “Da’ Hip-Hop Wizzard of Oz”, “Our Past, Present, & Future” and “Made A Change”. LQ’s Performing Arts Center serve all ages from 3 years old with quality educational classes, and performs for all audiences; basically anyone who would enjoy some good entertainment from a good group of talented individuals.
