Jensen-Alvarado Historic Ranch and Museum
Captain Cornelius Boy Jensen, who for many years had sailed out of Hamburg, Germany, sailed into San Francisco Bay during 1848. He never again went to sea. When shouts of .. Gold! .. were heard by his crew, they deserted to seek their fortunes in the gold fields. Cornelius Boy Jensen set up an area on Sacramento St. and sold the cargo from his ship. An 1880’s Living History Interpretive Program and Museum located in Riverside off the 60 Freeway and Rubidoux Blvd. Open to the public Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Available for group tours Monday through Saturday. Reservations needed for Group tours
