Get ready to Swivel your hips and brush up your Blue SUEDE SHOES! Christian Arts and Theatre presents the Musical Comedy romp, ALL SHOOK UP, a show written entirely around Elvis Presley hits! Called a “Jukebox Musical” because it uses previously established hit songs, this story is based on William Shakespeare’s comedy, Twelfth Night.
A young girl, Natalie, who is also a small town auto mechanic, dreams of love and adventure. When his bike breaks down, a dreamy, motorcycle-riding roustabout gets stranded but Natalie finds she can’t catch his eye because he sees her only as the grubby but talented mechanic. Meanwhile, Chad, the roustabout, has his heart set on the beautiful and cultured Sandra who owns the local museum. Natalie resorts to drastic measures to win Chad’s heart and all sorts of hilarious antics result from mistaken identities that turn the town upside down with revelations of old love, new love and unrequited love.
Featuring the 19 Elvis’ greatest hits from “Hound Dog” and “Teddy Bear” to “Love me Tender” and “Burnin’ Love”, this is a Rockin’ and Rollin’ Comedy treat for the entire family.
Directed by Josh Wenig with Hollee Hennebelle as the choreographer and Brianna Lopez as the Vocal Director, this show features 54 of wonderfully talented actors. Playing “Natalie” is Kelsey Coovert, a junior at Santiago High and “Chad” is played by CAT newcomer, Joey Wahhab, a senior at Santiago.
