Water is Rising: Music and Dance amid Climate Change
October 18, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Peril in paradise summarizes the science-inspired performance, "Water is Rising" as islanders from the Pacific island atolls of Kiribati, Tokelau, and Tuvalu, bring a human face to the threat caused by climate change. Facing full submersion by rising water, thirty-six dancers and musicians invite us to bear witness to their fragile island existence with multi-part harmonies, colorful movement, and rich oral histories that beckon each one of us to become better stewards of our shared planet.
