Young piano whiz to play Pierce Street Jazz

La Sierra University’s next Pierce Street Jazz concert will feature jazz piano prodigy Jamael Dean, age 13, who will lead a quartet of seasoned players. The Jamael Dean Quartet includes Dean’s grandfather Donald Dean on drums, Benn Clatworthy, on saxophone, and Henry “the Skipper” Franklin on bass. The band will play a variety of jazz tunes including "Stella by Starlight" and "Round Midnight."
