2nd Annual Archaeology Discovery Weekend at La Sierra University, Nov. 13-14, featuring, “Nineveh, the Glory of Iraq’s Past.” Enjoy lectures on the famed biblical city of Nineveh; a Middle Eastern banquet presentation by Jordan’s Department of Antiquities director general; hands-on workshops showing how to date ancient pottery, make biblical-era clothing and how to make/use ancient stone tools. Get news reports on recent digs in Jordan and enjoy a Middle Eastern reception in a Bedouin hospitality tent. Sponsored by the LSU School of Religion. Admission to most events is free. The Middle Eastern banquet is $50 per person.
