The Corona Art Association will host their first OPEN SHOW of 2010, The Maxine Piester Show. Maxine was one of the founding members of the organization in the early 1960's. A CALL FOR ARTISTS is on Web. Feb. 17th., 1:00-6:30 p.m. at the ART HOUSE GALLERY, 510 W. Foothill Parkway, (one block W. of Main St.) at Corona Heritage Park Museum. Juror for the show is award winning Fallbrook artist, Jack Ragland. www.jackragland.com You may enter three pieces, each $7 if member of CAA or $10 per piece if non-member, yearly dues, $24. Work must be original, completed within the last THREE years, NO COPIES or giclees (reproductions). Each piece may not exceed 40" wide by 54" tall including frame. Work MUST BE hung with screw eyes and wire, strung taut to hang correctly on our system approx. 1/3 down back of picture. NO SAWTOOTH hangers, NO STAND-UP frames. All work must be dry, not tacky to the touch. If painting on wrap around canvas ALL SIDES must be painted, no staples or nails on sides. We accept all mediums of art including photography and 3D. Work must be suitable for public viewing and work that does not meet our standards will be rejected.
