Adobe Dreamweaver

Students will learn the essential steps for creating a Web site and develop a working knowledge of how to use the most popular professional Web design tool, Dreamweaver CS4. Class content includes examination of issues related to site design and management, usability, text, xhtml, CSS, div tag layers, internal and external links, rollovers, flash text, and tables. Also, a review with specific suggestions regarding domain registration, hosting issues, FTP, search engine considerations, scripting, and adding multimedia elements as well optimizing images for the Web. Additionally, students will review Web slideshows, scrolling text areas, forms, and e-commerce approaches to effectively display work and interface with the viewers of their Web sites. Ongoing design and usability evaluation will be undertaken throughout.
