This solo exhibition of paintings by Xavier Bellante captures facets of the artist's personal, spiritual journey as he navigates the struggles and challenges that he is faced with. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2001, Bellante has had to battle depression, drug use, and homelessness as he tried to cope with his disease. It is these biographical factors that contribute to the emotional intensity found throughout his work. As Bellante's life has improved, his paintings evolve accordingly. The result is a wide range of emotions and experiences, from despair and desolation to hope and healing.
