Lights, Sirens and Safety!

From fire fighters to police officers, meet the people who keep us safe at the San Bernardino County Museum on Saturday, May 16. This annual event, held in the museum’s parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free to the public. Ladder trucks, ambulances, motorcycles, prowl cars, and more will be ready for visitors to explore, and safety professionals will explain their specialized jobs and answer questions. Participating organizations (unless called away on an emergency) will include: — Redlands Police Department (Segways, punching dummy, volunteers with Citizens Volunteer Patrol vehicle, fingerprinting booth) — U.S. Forest Service (fire engine, wood cutters) — San Bernardino Sheriff Department, Central Station (McGruff, crime prevention, Explorers) — San Bernardino Sheriff/Fire (Hazmat) — San Manuel Fire Department (fire engine, patrol car) — American Medical Response (ambulance) — San Bernardino Police Department (motorcycle and officer) — Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (trauma booth) — California Highway Patrol (patrol cars) — San Bernardino Sheriff Search and Rescue (patrol trucks, ATVs, equipment) “Lights, Sirens, Safety” is free in the museum parking lot.
