Book Discussion Desert Solitaire

The Reading Discoveries book discussion group will meet again at the San Bernardino County Museum on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30pm to discuss “Desert Solitaire” by Edward Abbey. “Join us for a trip back in time with our guide Edward Abbey, as we explore public lands as no one else has done,” said Curator of Education Jolene Redvale. “Abbey’s gift for combining beautiful prose and sensitivity, with full-on challenges to the exploitation of our public spaces by industry and tourism, make this classic timely today. 2009 is the 40th anniversary of the publication of this widely read book.” The Reading Discoveries book discussion program meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30p.m. The discussion is open to the public free of charge.
