Concert at the County Museum

In celebration of Black History Month, the San Bernardino County Museum will host a special live concert, “Songs That Free The Heart,” on Friday, February 20. Vocalist Jennifer Sparks and concert pianist Kris Carlisle will perform art songs and spirituals selections written and arranged by African-American composers. Students from the University of Redlands Drama Department will offer information about the selections and composers during concert intervals. “Songs That Free The Heart” will start promptly at 6:30pm. Refreshments are sponsored by The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf of Redlands. This concert is free to public but reservations are required; call (909) 307-2669 ext. 230 or 225. Voluntary contributions will help support the museum’s current redesign of the Hall of History galleries, “Crossroads in History.”
