David Musser Watercolor Demo at RAM Jan. 21

The Plein Air Artists of Riverside, in affiliation with Riverside Art Museum, invite you to our first demonstration program of 2009. Award-winning California impressionist painter David Musser, a long-time resident of Temecula, will give a watercolor painting demonstration. David worked as a professional musician for many years before changing careers to commercial art. After graduation from San Diego State University with a degree in applied art, David spent the next twelve years as an illustrator, animator and art director in the motion picture/TV industry. In 1994, David opened his own gallery and pursued a career in fine art. After eight years, David closed the gallery and now makes his living as a teacher and demonstrator. David's watercolor workshops are extremely popular. He also teaches watercolor, drawing, and pastel painting classes at UC Riverside. Primarily a watercolorist, David is also fluent in oil, acrylics, and pastel. A plein aire painter, David's work has won eighteen Best of Show or First Place Awards. His paintings transcend reality and capture the light and color of Southern California, particularly the rolling hills and spectacular vineyards of the Temecula Valley. This promises to be an exciting evening!

    Tickets: Free for all PAAR members $5 admission for non-PAAR members (applicable to the $30 fee to join PAAR). PAAR members must also be members of Riverside Art Museum. We will accept membership fees for both RAM and PAAR at the door.
