Art of Ability

“Art of Ability” is a collaborative effort between the MSJC Art Gallery and DSPS (Disabled Students Programs and Services) that brings to the college and the wider community the artwork of the talented students who are affiliated with the program. The show is also intended to communicate the message that sophisticated and impressive art can be made by any individual, regardless of disability. The gallery exhibit will display the artwork of eight DSPS students, featuring paintings, photography, ceramics, and sculpture. Despite the different media in the show, the works are linked together thematically through the concept of landscape, which was conceptualized in broad and abstract terms and considers the different types of landscape: natural, celestial, urban, and human.
