Add Review/Comment
Grammy-winning singer and environmental activist Kathy Mattea goes back to her roots and the music of coal culture. The music of “Moving Mountains” is based on her best-selling album COAL - a hauntingly beautiful collection of mining songs based on the lives, labors, and losses endemic there. The Country Music star’s successful incorporation of Appalachian-based music with strains of straight bluegrass, country and folk provide a voice for “a group of people, a place, a way of life” while focusing on one the most important topics facing America today.
