Moon Party at the Asistencia

It is time to “moon party” at the Asistencia again! Hosted by the San Bernardino County Museum’s education division, this “Moon Party” will be on Tuesday, October 7 starting at 7pm, and is free to the public. Enjoy beautiful views of the first-quarter moon and Jupiter as members of the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers set up their telescopes to share views of these distant worlds. “Observers can scrutinize the awesome features found along the moon’s terminator and savor the subtle cloud detail of giant Jupiter,” said Chris Clarke, program coordinator for the Amateur Astronomer. The Moon Party will be held at the Asistencia, a San Bernardino County Museum historic site, located at 26930 Barton Road in Redlands. Call (909) 793-5402 for driving directions. The San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers are an affiliate group of the San Bernardino County Museum, working with the museum to present specialized programs for adults, families, and children.
