This chilling, heart-pounding musical thriller of barber-ism and culinary crime tells the infamous tale of the unjustly imprisoned barber who returns to 19th century London seeking revenge on the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his wife. His quest to avenge his wrongs expands to include his unfortunate customers, and soon the resourceful proprietress of the pie shop downstairs has droves lining up for her "secret ingredient" meat pies! "Sweeney Todd" boasts Stephen Sondheim's grandest, most beautiful and ingeniously crafted score.

    I saw this production on opening night and I'm going back at least one more time before it closes. John LaLonde and Debbie Prutsman were an absolute delight! The audience was eating out of their hands by the end of Act I. This show sounded amazing! The voices were beautiful and the orchestra was flawless! All the production values were as impressive as anything I've seen in L.A. or any Broadway tour. Collapse
