THEATRE

Rip Van Winkle
December 11, 2008
Add Review/CommentSet during the American Revolution, critically acclaimed Parson's Nose Family Theatre brings us the tale of Rip Van Winkle, the sociable but lazy man who falls asleep for 20 years and wakes up to find his entire world transformed! Adapted from 19th Century Joseph Jefferson's melodrama version of Washington Irving's short story, this comical theatrical adaptation includes some spooky ghosts, a mean landlord, Rip's sweet and innocent daughter, and, of course, a hero to save the day! The audience is invited to boo the villain and cheer the hero as Rip is changed into the model of a perfect husband and father! (for ages 7+)
