Joan Myers brings her Antarctic adventure to life through her photographs and personal observations.Wondrous Cold: An Antarctic Journey, includes 50 stunning color and black and white digitally-printed photographs by award-winning photographer Joan Myers, who spent four months based at the American McMurdo Station in Antarctica and traversed the world’s coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent on the globe to capture desolate beauty, extraordinary wildlife, huts of early explorers, and the daily lives of the scientists and support staff working there today. Wondrous Cold, Photographs by Joan Myers, is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES), and made possible through the generous support of Quark Expeditions.
