Corona Art Association Spring Fling Art Show

Add Review/CommentThe Corona Art Association will host their annual SPRING FLING ART SHOW in the ART HOUSE GALLERY, 510 W. Foothill Parkway (one block W. of Main St.) at Corona Heritage Park Museum. ENTRY TO SHOW: Thursday April 17, 1:00-6:30 pm. SHOW OPENS: April 24, 10 am- 2 pm and ends on Sat. June 7th during the Corona Heritage Park Antiques and Collectibles Faire ending at 4pm. WORK ACCEPTED: Two and three dimensional original art work, in all mediums. LIMITS: Paintings must conform to gallery rules. Pictures limited to 40" wide by 54" tall. Entries over specified dimensions will be rejected. RULES: Original work only, completed within the last three years. No copies of other artists' work or giclees (reproductions). Framed or painted edges on ALL sides, with NO staples or nails showing. Paintings must be DRY (not wet or tacky) and WIRED for hanging. No sawtooth hangers, and NO stand-up frames. NO exceptions! Art which has won Best Of Show or First Place in any previous CAA event may NOT be entered in CAA competition show, but may hang in rotating shows between competitions. JUDGING: Acclaimed teacher and watercolorist Sylvia Megerdichain who owns the Art Box Studio in Upland. Sylvia hosts many workshops throughout the year at her studio with guest artists. She also teaches watercolor classes & right brain drawing. PUBLIC VIEWING: Begins Thursday April 24th, 10 am-2 pm. Daily hours at the Gallery are Thursday -Sat. 10 am- 2 pm. RECEPTION: April 26th, 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Public invited to share in the awards ceremony and vote for their favorite picture. AWARDS: Best of Show, First, Second, Third Place (ribbons and cash awards) Three Honorable mentions and Poplular Choice (ribbons only). Monetary awards determined by number of entries submitted. TAKE-DOWN: Thursday June 12th, 1:00-6:30 pm. There will be a $5 per piece fee assessed for each work of art not picked up on June 12th. SALES: CAA retains 20% of the sales price and the artist receives 80%. If NOT for sale, each item MUST be marked "NFS". Tickets: ENTRY FEE: $7 per entry, you may enter 3, fourth FREE for CAA members, $10 per entry for non members. $24 yearly dues may be paid that day.
