The Corona Art Association will hold their general meeting at 7 p m Tuesday, April 8th at the ART HOUSE GALLERY 510 W. Foothill Parkway (one block W. of Main St.) at Corona Heritage Park Museum. Local artist and member Catherina Chu who is an accomplished pastel artist will demonstrate another of her talents, Chinese brush painting. Catherina was born and raised in Taiwan, Republic of China and graduated from National Normal University with a degree in fine art. She taught fashion design and illustration for thirteen years before moving to the USA. Once here, her artistic talents were temporarily set aside, as she established a thriving travel agency. Although this busy lifestyle was quite enjoyable, she longed to be more involved in art and within the past few years her passion for art has once again taken center stage in her life. Her beautiful Chinese brush art, drawings and pastel works are often on exhibition and her work is purchased by collectors in the area. Catherina also teaches students in the art of Chinese brush painting and is once again enjoying a life fully dedicated to her creative talents. Her work has been included in the Laguna Beach Art Association's Members collection and her work may also be seen at the Chinese Cultural Center from April 19-April 20, 2008.
