4th Biennial Ontario Invitational Art Exhibition

The 4th Biennial Ontario Invitational Art Exhibition will feature original works of art in a variety of media by seven Inland Empire artists. The galleries will open on April 25 and the exhibition continues through June 8, 2008. The Invitational artists are Margaret Burnett, Chick Curtis, Antonio Pelayo, Esther Reeves, Eric Vasquez, Karen Werner, and Barry You. These artists offer outstanding examples of their new painting, drawing, ceramics, and photography. A biennial exhibition is one that is traditionally presented every other year. This year’s biennial exhibition showcases artwork by award winners from the 2007 Ontario Open Art Exhibition. The Open was a salon-style exhibition, displaying over 300 artworks. The juror for the Open was Professor Richard Johnston of CSU San Bernardino and the cash-award sponsors were San Bernardino County Supervisor Gary Ovitt, Herb & Lisa Crane, Faye Dastrup Hamill, Virginia Eaton, and Wayne & Ruby Leavitt. Next year, the museum will present the 2009 Ontario Open Art Exhibition. The 5th Biennial Ontario Invitational Art Exhibition will occur in spring 2010. The regular open hours are noon to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Public is always welcome and admission is free.
