Chamber music concert featuring Jason Uyeyama, violin, Jeffry Kaatz, cello, Elvin Rodriguez, piano, Vadim Serebryany, piano, Kimo Smith, piano. Jason Uyeyama is director of string studies at La Sierra University. He regularly peforms with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and will perform with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra this season. Jeffry Kaatz is La Sierra's vice president for advancement and is a music professor at the university. He is cellist with the Taylor String Quartet and has served as principal cellist with the Redlands Symphony and Riverside County Philharmonic. Elvin Rodriguez is a La Sierra music professor, Manhattan School of Music graduate and frequent chamber recital performer and soloist on the East and West coasts. Vadim Serebryany is a Julliard School graduate who has received acclaim on five continents. He is an adjunct professor at La Sierra and teaches at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Kimo Smith is La Sierra's music department chair, associate music professor and member of the Brandstater Ensemble.
