Lecture, Israelite women's religious practices

Duke University biblical scholar and media consultant Carol Meyers will present a lecture on the religious practices of Old Testament Jewish women. Her presentation is titled "Barely Visible But Very Real: Women's Religious Culture in Ancient Israel." Her research draws from archaeological evidence and ethnographic data. Meyers' background includes studies at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and consulting for NBC-TV's "Human Animal" series, segments of A&E's "Mysteries of the Bible," and DreamWorks's "Prince of Egypt." She has published more than 400 articles, reports and reviews. Meyers has authored, co-authored or edited 15 books.
