You know all about Halloween, but how about el Día de Los Muertos – The Day of the Dead? Find out about this festive Mexican and Latin American holiday during "Día de Los Muertos Family Discovery Day" at the Museum of History and Art, Ontario, from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3rd. You'll explore the history and meaning of this lively cultural tradition that celebrates those who have passed on with an abundance of skulls, skeletons, flowers, candles, food, family, and fun. Tour the current exhibit, "Ofrendas—Contemporary Artists Celebrate el Día de Los Muertos" featuring works of art from 29 local and regional artists. Then, honor the lives of your own departed loved ones through hands-on arts, crafts and other activities. "Día de Los Muertos Family Discovery Day" hours are noon to 4:00 p.m., and it's free to participate. Reservations are not required.
