The Corona Art Association is happy to present local artist DUREE WASEEM who will demonstrate her spontaneous style of painting at our meeting Oct. 9, 2007 at 7pm. Meeting held at Corona Heritage Park Museum in the ART HOUSE GALLERY, 510 W. Foothill Parkway, (one block W. of Main St.) Duree Waseem was born and raised in Punjab, Pakistan. In college Waseem discovered that she possessed special artistic skills. At Punjab Universtiy in Lahore, Pakistan, Waseem's talents flourished and she became recognized as one of Pakistan's most exceptional young artists. She became a professor of art upon the completion of her master's degree. In 2001 she moved to America with her husband and three sons. She missed the bustling streets which were the primary subjects of her work in Pakistan. Gradually she became used to new locations here and began painting regional arts secenes. She has exhibited at galleries in the region and paints with the Plein Air Artists of Riverside. She is regarded as one of the most talented painters in the Inland Empire by Daniel Foster, Director of the Riverside Art Museum. Join us for an evening of spontaneous painting by Duree.
