    A week-long celebration of poetry, including small-group intensive writing workshops, lectures, discussions, readings, and a Festival of Poetry. Participants may choose either a three-day session or an entire week; a day-long schedule of activities or afternoon and evening sessions only. Many events are open to the public and free of charge. New this summer, in addition to the Intensice Poetry Writing Workshop, a new workshop option will be available focussing on making a chapbook. Schedule of Events: Sunday, July 15 2:15-3:15 p.m. Making/Performance of Poetry These daily session on a wide range of topics in poetry are lead by visiting poets David Lehman and Marilyn Nelson, and are hosted by John Maguire. 7-7:30 p.m. Open Microphone reading 7:30-8:30 p.m. Informal Readings Visiting poets and poets-in-residence will read selected poems each evening, followed by booksigning and reception. Monday, July 16 2:15-3:15 p.m. Making/Performance of Poetry 7-7:30 p.m. Open Microphone reading 7:30-8:30 p.m. Informal readings Tuesday, July 17 1-2:30 p.m. Making Performance of Poetry Panel Discussion 7:30 p.m. Mini Festival ($10 at door) Poetry readings by visiting poets and poets-in-residence. All attendees are invited to a reception on the campus following the reading. Wednesday, July 18 Evening reading at Cafe Aroma Thursday, July 19 2:15-3:15 p.m. Making/Performance of Poetry 7-7:30 p.m. Open Microphone reading 7:30-8:30 p.m. Informal Readings Friday, July 20 2:15-3:15 p.m. Making/Performance of Poetry 7-7:30 p.m. Open Microphone Reading 7:30-8:30 p.m. Informal Readings Saturday, July 21 4 p.m. Festival of Poetry ($15 at the door) This open-air celebration of poetry will include readings by visiting poets, poets-in-residence and guest poets, and will feature live jazz throughout the afternoon.
