    The Corona Art Association is hosting their 2006-2007 Artist Of The Year Exhibit, featuring Frances Hollinger Fraser's 30 year compilation of her oil and pastel paintings. The show opens March 27th-April 20th, 2007, at the ART HOUSE GALLERY in Corona Heritage Park, 510 W. Foothill Parkway (one block W. of Main St.) There will be a reception for the artist on Sat. March 31st. 1 pm - 4:30 pm, and we invite the public to attend. Refreshments will be served, no addmission. The Gallery is open Tues-Sat, 10 am - 2 pm. Phone gallery: 951-735-3226- or Jill, 951-898-9554. Frances grew up in a family that enjoyed music, poetry and painting. She has studied with outstanding instructors including Betty Edwards of California State University-Long Beach; Shinjiro Nakamura, Tokyo, Japan; and William Yelland of Orange, Cal. Her work includes, portraits as well as landscapes, and the people and children around her, which are captured with love she feels for her subjects. Frances holds a lifetime membership in the Art Students League of New York and she has developed her skills through portait work starting in New York Central Park and at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. She has also done portraits at Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland, Movie Wax Museum, and Calico Ghost Town. She has demonstrated pastel portraits in over 120 cities and also for Sennellier Pastels. She assisted in the beginning of the Norco Western Art Show in Norco. Frances has traveled widely across the country during her career and has continued to be a distinquished member of the Southern California art Community for decades. In addition to her work on display at he CAA exhibit she also has paintings on exhibit at Best In Show Framers in Norco, at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the Bank of America in Norco.
