Description: Would you like to join the Riverside Arts Council's Artist Roster? The Riverside Arts Council is looking for artists on an ongoing basis for residencies in the after school programs and gang-prevention youth programming. Designed to meet the specific needs of each school and community site being served, artist residencies encompass a wide range of visual and performing arts disciplines from a variety of cultures. Professional artists work as partners with teachers/site coordinators to emphasize literacy and other curricular skills. They incorporate the California Department of Education's Framework for the Visual and Performing Arts and the Content Standards as they integrate the arts into K-12 curricula as well as pre-school.
