Panorama Photography Online Panorama Photography Online Presented by UCR Extension September 20-October 22, 2010 Learn how to use intermediate panorama photography. This online course will involve the development of stitched photographs, shot with and without a tripod. Students will be required to shoot and stitch one panorama photograph per week (after the first 2 weeks of class). Each student will provide helpful critiques and comments on the work of their peers. Holiday Rubber Stamping Workshop Holiday Rubber Stamping Workshop Presented by UCR Extension October 23, 2010 Stamping offers a way to create attractive, hand-crafted cards and projects that can add a meaningful personal touch during the holidays. In this fast-paced workshop for intermediate and advanced stampers, students work at their own pace and practice with several different styles and techniques creating 10-12 different holiday and seasonal stamping projects. Writing the Creative and Opinion Essay Writing the Creative and Opinion Essay Presented by UCR Extension October 4-October 29, 2010 Students will learn to turn the fabric of their daily lives and memories into thought-provoking, entertaining and enlightening essays and nonfiction stories for publication or for personal use. Students gain experience through online timed writing assignments, readings, discussions and forum feedback sessions, as well as how to find the right market and media for their piece should they seek to publish. Lecture topics include the who, what, when, where, why and how of writing; dramatic hooks that grab the reader; character revelation through basic traits, actions and speech; and plot dynamics. Night Photography Online Night Photography Online Presented by UCR Extension October 25-November 22, 2010 Learn how to make exciting pictures at night using a 35 mm film or digital camera. Discussion and demonstration of the tools and techniques for low-light level photography. Includes instruction on the proper use of flash for night photography and how to use alternate sources of light for more exciting photographs. Riverside Drama School for Kids and Teens Riverside Drama School for Kids and Teens Presented by Riverside Drama School October 6-December 30, 2010 Acting Classes for Kids and Teens in Riverside. Taught by Jordan Lund, a veteran of over 75 Film & TV appearances, and more than 150 plays on stage in NY, LA and regionally. Jordan has been teaching On-Camera and Scene Study classes in LA since 1998.
