 h the Los Angeles Opera\, including Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte\
 , Kudrjas in Janacek’s Katya Kabanova\, Quint in Britten’s Turn of the
  Screw\, and Orpheus in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. Appearanc
 es with other companies include Belmonte in Mozart’s Abduction for Nethe
 rlands Opera\, Lysander in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Ken
 tucky Opera\, Bob Boles in Britten’s Peter Grimes for Vancouver Opera\, 
 and the Steersman in Wagner’s Flying Dutchman for Opera Columbus.\n     
 His concert work includes engagements with the London Symphony Orchestra\,
  Chautauqua Festivals\, the Carmel Bach Festival\, the Los Angeles Philhar
 monic\, and the Minnesota Orchestra with conductors including Giulini\, Me
 ta\, Previn\, Boulez\, Rattle\, Hogwood and Tilson-Thomas. Recent performa
 nces include a tour of the province of Quebec in Beethoven’s ninth symph
 ony with the Montreal Metropolitan and Frank Ticheli’s Pulitzer Prize no
 minated first Symphony for Festival Miami. He premiered two works at Disne
 y Concert Hall in December\, 2005\; excerpts from film composer (The Matri
 x) Don Davis’ opera Rio de Sangre for the LA Master Chorale and the mult
 i-media opera WET by Ann LeBaron in the REDCAT theater. This summer he ret
 urned to the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival for his tenth season.\n Piani
 st Vicki Ray performs widely as a soloist and collaborative artist. She is
  a member of the award winning California E.A.R. Unit and Xtet. As a found
 ing member of PianoSpheres\, an acclaimed solo piano series dedicated to e
 xploring the less familiar realms of the piano repertoire\, her playing ha
 s been hailed by the Los Angeles Times for 'displaying that kind of musica
 l thoroughness and technical panache that puts a composer's thoughts direc
 tly before the listener.'\n     Vicki Ray has played on various national a
 nd international festivals including the Salzburg Festival\, the Berlin 75
 0 Jahre Festival and the Ojai Festival where she premiered a new concerto 
 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Sir Simon Rattle. Ms. Ray has been a
  member of the piano faculty at the California Institute of the Arts since
